The Ministry of the church

Prayer is the ministry of the church, because everything we do depends on God’s presence and blessing for its benefit. God has appointed prayer, then, as his means for humbly calling down the blessings of heaven on all that is done in his name.
The Church of the Covenant provides many opportunities to pray, to be prayed for, and to learn about prayer.
-
We pray several different prayers each Sunday morning during worship: of adoration and invocation, of confession, for the offering, for the reading and preaching, for the receiving of the Lord’s Supper, and a pastoral prayer which allows us to pray both for the needs of our church and the whole world.
-
We have a regular “Concert of Prayer,” an evening service dedicated to praying for a wide variety of needs (see the church calendar for the next scheduled concert of prayer).
-
Our elders are available to pray for whatever needs you have.
-
We pray in our small groups.
-
We encourage prayer in families and in private devotion before the Lord.
