PASTOR GLENN
Pastor Glenn grew up near Memphis, Tennessee, and attended college at Georgia Tech. After graduating with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, he returned to Memphis and worked as a Biomedical Engineer designing surgical implants and instruments for an orthopaedic company. During that time, Glenn and Helen met and married, and they worshipped and served together at Second Presbyterian Church of Memphis.
God's calling
In 1991, sensing God's call to the pastoral ministry, the Durhams moved to Jackson, Mississippi, where Glenn enrolled in the Master of Divinity Program at Reformed Theological Seminary (RTS). While in Jackson, Glenn also served as the Singles’ Director for Trinity Presbyterian Church and Helen worked as an attorney with a local law firm. After graduating from RTS in 1994, Glenn was ordained as a minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and the Durhams moved to Omaha, Nebraska, so that Glenn could serve the PCA as church planter. God gave Glenn and Helen eight fruitful years of ministry in Omaha and through their efforts and the hard work of many faithful believers, a new congregation (Harvest Community Church), was established in that city.
Impact for christ
After leaving Omaha, Glenn has been involved in three other churches, two as a church planter and one as the assistant pastor. In God’s providence, neither of the two church planting assignments resulted in the establishing of a new local congregation, though many lives were positively impacted for the Kingdom. In December of 2006, the Durhams moved to Cincinnati when Glenn accepted the call to be the pastor at The Church of the Covenant. Glenn and Helen have two children, and they all look forward in hope to the ministry which God has prepared beforehand for them, in Christ Jesus.
